The jack-up barge is in place to drive piles for the new MBC pontoon.

We hope to see the works progress quickly.

There is no access to the old pontoon, as the bridge walkway has been used on the temporary pontoon.

TMS have got the temporary pontoon installed on the Western slipway.

Access to the slipway should be unrestricted for gigs, canoes, and tenders etc. 

TMS are proceeding with the construction of the temporary pontoon on the western slipway.

Access to the water via the western slipway is restricted until TMS release it.

CHC are temporarily using some of the MBOA moorings to store boats afloat until issues are sorted.

This NOT a declaration that the moorings are available for MBOA members.

A general email will be broadcast via MemberMojo database when moorings have been released.

Be aware that from the 2026 season the Western dinghy racks will now be located next to compund C, at the top portion of the turning cicrle by the Western slipway.

There will be a new method of numbering bays as indicated in the picture. The Membership Secretary will be letting the members know where they are to be located within the racks.

Be aware that due to the ongoing work onsite this season, it will be necessary to vacate the western racks for a short period while the turning circle area above the sipway is resurfaced.

We hope to have and give the maximum amount of notice for this.

The RIBs and black beach normally seen moored to the MBC pontoon have been temporarily located onto the MBOA moorings. 

The moorings will be clear by the agreed date for members to use.

The "OLD" MBC pontoon has now been closed to all users including the water taxi/ferry.

Do not attempt to access from the water.

It has been padlocked at the top of the bridge, by the pontoon contractor and MBC will not be able to open it.

The western slipway  is being prepared for the installation of a temporary pontoon. 

Hopefully this will be completed soon, but obviously depends on the weather.

We are hoping that dinghy access down the right hand side will not be hindered too much once completed.

Members are reminded that all fees for 2026 are due by the 31st Jan 2026. 

Members should renew their membership and identify any rack/outboard storage they may require at that time.

Members of the MBOA are reminded to renew their association membership via the MemberMojo website.
